New Virtual Networking Process to Promote DBE Participation on 75th St. CIP

April 10, 2020

The CREATE Program partners remain committed to encouraging Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in upcoming project design and construction contracts for the 75th Street Corridor Improvement Project (75th St. CIP). Given precautions instituted by most organizations and recommendations by federal, state and local government regarding COVID-19, the CREATE partners have suspended in-person meetings, including business-to-business networking events, until further notice and will implement steps to ensure DBE participation in contracting opportunities through web conference, conference calls or other remote meeting support to continue to move the project forward.

RFQ, RFP and bid opportunities will be advertised as planned and will utilize available technology to facilitate business interactions without meeting in-person. Contact information will be requested and made public for each business participating in pre-bid web conferences or conference calls for 75th St. CIP. The contact information will be available on 75thcip.org from 2 days before the pre-bid web conference or conference call until the bid or proposal is due in order to encourage firms to contact each other about teaming opportunities.

In addition, the CREATE partners will send an email reminder to the CREATE Procurement listserv about the availability of the contact information. Please be sure to watch for emails from the CREATE Program and share the information with your contacts.
